One journalist's musings about the beautiful, bizarre world in which we live
Day one. On the road again, with my usual travel partner. The trip from Edmonton to Vancouver was much shorter than the original trip a year and a half ago, when I first ended up in Alberta.
Armed with a dozen homemade wholewheat scones, four delicious family-made sandwiches and mini Mars bars galore, we took to the highway. Other than a snowstorm on the top of a mountain, it was pretty uneventful. This picture was all that really came out of it.
Day two. Vancouver. Rain (surprise, surprise). It’s nice being back in a city with public transportation, tall buildings and sushi.
Which brings me to today. Sunny (surprise!). Day packed full of meeting friends and family before heading down south. We cross the border into the good ol’ US of A tomorrow.
Beautiful picture.
